about the ANNUAL PURPLE PAINTED LADY FESTIVAL
Hey Everyone! We hope you had a great time at our festival!
This event is run by volunteers who donate their time to raise money for various chairities and organizations.
The Purple Painted Lady Festival features close to 400 artists/vendors/food trucks every year. This is the only festival of this magnitude that is also a huge benefit for many local charities and organizations since the entrance fee is donated back to many!
How cool is it to be able to have a good time, and know that some of the money is helping others!
Did you know that The Purple Painted Lady Festival has more artists than any other event in western NY? Yep, it sure does!
No animals or pets are permitted. This ia no smoking / vaping event on private property. The entrance fee is $5 and is collected by the charity of choice. By entering the festival, you agree to these rules and grant permission for photos taken to be used with you in them. : )

IMPORTANT FESTIVAL
INFORMATION
1.
$5 ENTRANCE FEE
Our festival benefits local charities and organizations. Our 2024 charity is Honor Flight Rochester and there is a $5 per person entrance fee collected at the Festival gate. Children 12 and under are free.
ATM's on the premises.

HANDICAP PARKING
Handicap Parking by permit only and ONLY accessible when entering from Route 31, heading SOUTH on Yellow Mills Rd. If you need assistance reach out to one of our volunteers on the grounds.
3.
NO SMOKING or Vaping please
This is a NO smoking event. I apologize if you smoke. It just helps keep my home’s lawn clean since we have pets and kids. Please leave those items at home - thank you!
4.
HUNGRY? WE GOT YOUR FOOD TRUCKS!
We have some amazing local food truck vendors this year so come hungry and expecting a great time! Are you vegan or have other dietary restrictions? No problem see below some vegan friendly options!
5.
NO PETS PERMITTED
Please leave your pets / animals / birds / amphibians at home. I love dogs…heck I have two Rottweilers. But even I bring them somewhere else for the day. They don't have a credit card and could care less about shopping. No animals can be left in the parking lot either. It is too big of a liability.

Hi ….it is me, Trish. Thank you for stopping by this website. I am so very grateful to the many amazing artists who come together to create this magical event for you. On the day of the festival, I will stand in my driveway and look around and soak it all in - in astonishment that so many of you drove out to Macedon to come to my house- LOL. A lot of thought and time goes into planning this event for you. Most events of this size- have committees of 40 people, but this is totally homegrown and between Steve (my husband) and me and a bunch of amazing local folk who volunteer for the fun of it- we pull this off! Steve and I always try to learn from the previous year and improve the experience you will have. With that said- we hope you have an amazing time and we are always open to hearing from you.

FESTIVAL FAQ
WHAT'S THE PLAN FOR FUTURE FESTIVALS?
You may have heard that 2022 was the last year for this magical festival? We started this when our daughter was 5 years old , and in 2023 she was a senior in high school. I (Trish) wan to savor every last minute as being a mom since our time together vaporizes before my eyes. (how many of you are parents and can relate?) So yes, there was no festival in 2023.
Yes, we are hosting the festival this year in 2024, September 21st and 22nd, and we noted dates for 2025, 2026 and 2027 on the homepage....so I think that means we are committing to some more!
CAN I BRING MY KIDS AND PETS? And, what about smoking or vaping???
Yes to kids. NO to pets! Again, no animals!!! This is Family Friendly event, but we kindly and considerately request that there is No Smoking / Vaping and please leave your pets at home. With this many people- they are not having fun any way…so to clearly state that ….. NO animals permitted at this event. And know that The Purple Painted Lady® loves animals. She has two Rottweilers of her own…but she does not bring them to the festival.
COST TO ENTER & WHAT ABOUT KIDS?:
ADMISSION: Admission is $5 per person at the entrance of the festival. This is not a donation - it is payment for entrance. Children under 12 are free. There is no parking fee. 100% of this money goes to fabulous local charities.

Yes to the ATM's. Find them behind the white & purple house.
WHAT KIND OF ARTIST ARE AT THE FESTIVAL?
We will have over 300 artisans and food trucks – all are handpicked by Trish- The Purple Painted Lady®. You won’t find people selling solar panels or gas inserts at this show. Trish is very passionate on having a well balanced festival, with diversified artists, most of them being from New York.
FOOD TRUCKS??
LOL- that is a funny question. Trish is Italian… So…….YES! We will have plenty of food trucks ...like over 25 and also other vendors in tents selling food!
RESTROOMS?
There will be a minimum of FOUR extended bathroom trailers and additional port-a-potties located in all corners of the festival and some in the parking lot area …for those who just cannot “hold it” any longer and have to break down and use a public port-a-pottie. They are not glamorous, but when mother nature calls- they will do!

HOW CAN I BECOME AN ARTIST IN THE FESTIVAL?
We are very selective and our pre-existing artist community always has first right of refusal to return. But if you think you create something unique, fresh, and have a great presentation in your booth... contact us starting in January, 2025 by texting 585.750.6056. Your text should contain your whole name, business name, ONLY TWO photos of what you make and a photo of your booth from a 2024 event, and your one sentence elevator speal on what it is you make. Nothing more, nothin' less. The ONLY person accepting artist would be Trish herself. And all payments go through The Purple Painted Lady website. If you have someone other than Trish writing you or requesting money....it is a SCAM
BIG NEWS!
The Purple Painted Lady opened a wedding barn called Fig Hollow. It once was a working horse farm in Macedon NY on 40 acres! We will be growing fig trees, flowers and hopefully cultivating a space for happy events to happen at. We are booking 2023 dates now. Take a tour during the festival on Saturday and Sunday .. Fig Hollow is the large barn in the guest parking lot!
