Where is this festival located?   Plug this into your GPS……
845 Yellow Mills Road Palmyra NY 14522

The festival takes place at the home of The Purple Painted Lady® which is on 60 beautiful farming acres in the Finger Lake Region of New York.  (yes- that is polite and fancy way to say,….. you will be parking in a hay field!)

The parking will be located at 856 Yellow Mills Road, Palmyra NY 14522. Look for the boom 60 feet in the air with the huge American flag hanging from it on Yellow Mills Road……that will indicate you are almost to the show!  Both the fine officers from the Town of Macedon and the Wayne County Sheriffs will be directing traffic. Please respect that only people with handicap passes will be permitted on the festival side parking lot in 2017.

What time is this ONE day show on 9/23/17?

The show starts at 9 AM and goes until 5 PM. (people start lining up around 8am…it is crazy)  In 2018- this festival becomes a TWO day show!

Can I bring my kids and my dog?

Yes..and ……..NO!    This is Family Friendly event, but we kindly and considerately request that there is No Smoking and please leave your pets at home.  With this many people- they are not having fun any way…so to clearly state that …..  NO Pets permitted at this event.  And know that The Purple Painted Lady® loves animals.  She has two Rottweilers of her own…but she does not bring them to the festival.

Does it cost money to go to the festival?

Yes, The Purple Painted Lady® Festival is a huge benefit for many worthy charities and organizations. The cost for entering and parking go to various organizations as described below.

ADMISSION: Admission is only $1 (pay at the entrance) and 100% of that goes to our 2017 charity of choice, which is a ROTARY Camp ONSEYAWA. Camp ONSEYAWA’s mission is to provide a summer camping experience for 8-16 year old children with disabilities from the 4 county area, and to foster independence and acceptance of others through social, recreational and educational aspects of life. Basically, kids who normally can’t go to a mainstream summer camp- can go here and have one heck of a time and experience all the fun things and let loose and be able to be themselves! (this is a great cause!)

PARKING: Parking is $5 per car (but feel free to bring the RV bus and pack it with friends- the cost will still only $5  Just keep in mind- buses or RV’s will have a terrible time in the hay field!  But…..all of that money for parking goes to the Pal-Mac Rotary, who gives it right back to the community.

What is the parking situation?

We have over 20 acres of parking. Again- it is $5 per car.   Keep in mind though – this show is HUGE and it is held outside! And so is the parking – and we use 20 acres of our farmed hay fields for the parking. What does that mean? Maybe save the white carpeted Porsche Cayenne for the mall and drive your other vehicle.  And, please don’t wear high heels- or your brand new white Converse because you will be walking in a field.   Is it horrible?  NO!  But we want people to be realistic.  Parking is managed by the Wayne County Sheriffs, the Wayne County Explorers, the Town of Macedon Police and also the PalMac Rotary. We all do our best to get you in that parking space as quickly as possible- so please have your $5 ready before entering the lot.  And…respect the signs and the officers in the areas where it states that you cannot park om the road.  We don’t do this to be difficult, but to maintain public safety.  If you have a question about the restriction on the parking- just call the Wayne County Sheriffs, or Macedon Town Police.

HANDICAP PARKING by permit only:

Handicap parking is available on the WEST side of Yellow Mills Road by permit only.

Please note that this is an outside festival located on a farm – the terrain will not be perfectly smooth.  Look for the 18 ft tall BLUE ROAD FLAG indicating Handicap Parking.

What kind of artists are at the festival?

We will have over 300 artisans and food trucks – all are handpicked by Trish- The Purple Painted Lady®. You won’t find people selling solar panels or gas inserts at this show. Trish is very passionate on having a well balanced festival, with diversified artists ……and all are from NY.

Is there food?

LOL- that is a funny question! Trish is Italian! So…….Yes! We will have plenty of food trucks, see the list directly below! Also, to support the whole “benefit” theme……the Pal-Mac Robotics Team is sponsoring the Chicken Dinner Barbecue and a portion of the sales goes to them! So……just planting this thought in your brain now.  Yum…..can’t you smell the grilled chicken!!!!!

What other kinds of entertainment will be available?  Click HERE for Festival Schedule

Besides Trish and her crew doing paint demos through out the day – we have an amazing line up of musicians and awesome bands.  On our main stage in front of the white and purple house- we will have The Dean’s List from 9am til 1pm and then  Me & the Boyz, who will be performing on the front porch from 1 til 5pm. Macedon Hometown girl, Baylee Morrison will be singing the National anthem at noon and accompanying Me & The Boyz.

The Calamari Sisters will be performing and doing cooking demos at their booth all day.
